Offensive and provocative content shown through the web series on the online video platform can no longer be shown. Actually, Netflix, Hotstar, Geo, Voot, G5, Hey, Sonnyeve, Alt Balaji and Eros Now have signed the self-censorship code, under which these platforms will no longer show offensive and inflammable content. However, Amazon, Google and Facebook have refused to sign on this code.
The draft of this code has been prepared by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMI), which not only prohibits showing inflammatory and objectionable content on the online video platform, but also to address the grievances of the people. A system will be created. If these rules are strictly adhered to, then the porn content will not be shown in the upcoming web series on platforms like Netflix.
Draft will come next Thursday, some changes are possible
Subha Ray, the president of IAMI, who created this draft for censorship on the content of online video platforms, said that this draft will be made public on next Thursday and there can be some changes in it. At the same time, IAMAI also says that this code will also be kept in mind that the creative freedom of content creators and artists will not be stopped, as well as the freedom of individual expression of the people.
Amazon did not sign, said- existing law is enough
However, Amazon, which offers prime video service, has refused to sign on this draft. The company says that unless a regululation code comes from the government, it will not follow any such code. According to media reports, Amazon has only told the existing law enough not to sign on this draft.
